Philosophy and Mission of the Innate Health Foundation

The Innate Health Foundation was founded in 2005 to promote health care that attempts to understand and optimize the health for which the human body is designed. This is in stark contrast to much of the current health care emphasis on temporarily suppressing symptoms, adding chemicals (drugs) to the body, and otherwise trying to circumvent nature’s exquisite design. We believe that health is best achieved by understanding how our bodies, their complicated systems, and relationships with other organisms have evolved. By working within that understanding we can enable our bodies to achieve their optimal function; their innate health. Our focus is on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and related digestive disorders, and on the profound impact that food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances can have on health.

The mission of the Innate Health Foundation is to:
Support IBS and food allergy research;
Provide grants to assist patients who need financial assistance to get proper care for IBS and food allergy related disorders; and
Provide information about IBS, food allergies, and the business of health care
